7-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you are met and transferred into the city. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy free time to explore the surroundings or visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls create a lively atmosphere in the evening.

Day 2: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

After breakfast, the tour officially begins with departure from Marrakech toward southern Morocco. The road climbs into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass with panoramic views and photo stops along the way.

You arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized by UNESCO for its remarkable earthen architecture. After exploring its narrow alleys and hilltop viewpoints, the journey continues through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the Valley of Roses. By late afternoon, you reach the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and winding roads.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

Following breakfast, the route continues through the Dades Valley toward Tinghir and its palm oasis. A stop is made at the Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise above a narrow riverbed, offering time for a walk and photos.

In the afternoon, the landscape gradually transforms into desert as you head toward Merzouga. Upon arrival at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, you set off on a camel trek across the sands. Watching the sunset over the dunes is one of the highlights of the tour. The night is spent in a desert camp with dinner, music, and stargazing.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

An early start allows you to witness sunrise over the dunes before leaving the desert. The journey continues north, passing through Erfoud and the palm-filled Ziz Valley.

After a stop in Midelt, the route crosses the Middle Atlas Mountains. You visit cedar forests near Azrou, where Barbary macaques are often seen, and pass through the alpine-style town of Ifrane. Arrival in Fes is expected later in the day.

Day 5: Fes Guided City Tour

Today is dedicated to exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. With a local guide, you discover the historic medina, one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world.

Highlights include visits to artisan quarters, traditional markets, historic religious schools, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the old city. You experience the atmosphere of narrow alleyways filled with craftsmen, merchants, and centuries-old traditions.

Day 6: Fes – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, you travel north toward Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known for its blue-painted streets and relaxed pace, Chefchaouen offers a striking contrast to Morocco’s larger cities.

Upon arrival, enjoy free time to wander the medina, photograph the blue-washed alleys, visit small galleries and cafés, or relax in the main square. The evening is at leisure in this charming mountain town.

Day 7: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

The final day begins with departure from Chefchaouen toward the Atlantic coast. You stop in Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you visit key landmarks such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas.
